Throughout the summer, EMP Museum will be putting on a number of dynamic Teen Artist Workshops led by professional teaching musicians and artists, designed as a great educational tool for youth in Seattle. Workshops include introductory Rock Photography, DJing and Beatmaking, Film Acting, as well as Advanced Rock Band. Scholarships are available.

The “Moving Forward: Resources for Artists” workshop is this Saturday, April 3. Miguel Guillen, Artist Resources Manager for Artist Trust, will discuss the essentials of presenting your work; how to get informed about the funding and exhibition possibilities available to Washington State artists; and information on health care, insurance, emergency assistance, and legal services available to artists. Miguel will also present information about Artist Trust’s grant programs, professional resources, and the EDGE Professional Development Program.
