How to Train Your Dragon had $43.3 million opening weekend and a No. 1 debut, according to studio estimates Sunday. Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, the team that created Disney’s hit Lilo & Stitch, are back with a DreamWorks feature about a nonconformist Viking teenager, Hiccup, who befriends rather than slays a dragon. DeBlois was born near Ottawa but bought a house on Queen Anne two years ago. “The Pacific Northwest is definitely my preferred place to work from,” said DeBlois, who regularly commutes to Los Angeles. He sees this as no big deal. “We share the same time zone. I can hop on a plane and be there in two hours. It actually works out really well.” Follow the above link to read the full article.
