KUOW
With our live music scene, especially the festivals, getting better and better, the quality of local bands skyrocketing, the recent inception of the City of Music Commission and the success of local record labels and other music businesses, Seattle is poised to make a major comeback as one of the premier music cities in the nation. Local music authorities Josh Powell, program director at the Vera Project, Larry Mizell Jr, writer for The Stranger host of KEXP “StreetSounds” and Music Commissioner and Liz Riley, cofounder and editor of Three Imaginary Girls, talk with KUOW’s Steve Scher about Summer Music, the state of Seattle’s music scene and BBQing. Give it a listen after the link.
