One of the best parts of summer is being able to watch films under the stars. A little popcorn, a picnic blanket and a fluff flick, and summer is at its finest. And now this seasonal activity is reaching even more audiences. The Center City Cinema’s outdoor film series provides Chinese and Spanish speaking audience members subtitles to enhance their enjoyment of its various films. With International District and nearby Beacon Hill residents dominating the presence at this film series, it is important to reach out to those communities for whom English is not the primary language. Upcoming films include Red Cliff (in Chinese with English subtitles), The Karate Kid Part II (in English with Chinese subtitles) and Up (in English with Spanish subtitles).
