Reel Grrls
After School program participants meet one or more times per week over an extended period of time such as 3-9 months. They work on creating a 3-15 minute video, and often produce polished videos for submission to film festivals. There are two programs currently open for registration. Music Video Production Program: Make a music video for a local band in an all-girl, noncompetitive environment. Get hands-on experience with state of the art technology and support from adult women mentors. No previous video production experience necessary. Screenwriting Group: Reel Grrls is starting a six-week screenwriting group. Bring story ideas and they’ll provide the writing exercises, activities, and feedback to help you formulate them into a completed screenplay. For committed writers – no video production experience required. Program meets Thursdays, September 23 – October 28. For more information on the programs, including application process and registration, follow the link.
