Seattle Met
Shooting wrapped in August for the feature film Grassroots, which was directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal and starred Jason Biggs and Joel David Moore. The story of the film is based on the life and political campaign of Grant Cogswell, a “poet-turned-activist-turned-politician-turned-filmmaker.” Cogswell, though not originally from Seattle, embraced the city with both arms as his true home, even tattooing Seattle’s symbol on his arm. His biography is fascinating, and reading it enhances one’s experience of the light-hearted film.
