Sundance Institute
The Sundance Institute has just announced the lineup of films selected to screen in the 2011 Sundance Film Festival out-of-competition sections, and three Seattle-made films made the list! Congratulations to the filmmakers of The Off Hours (written and directed by Megan Griffiths), The Catechism Cataclysm (written and directed by Todd Rohal) and The Oregonian (written and directed by Lee Reeder). The Off Hours will make world’s premiere at the festival as part of the “Next ()” series, which highlights visionary, innovative and original work in low- and no-budget filmmaking, while The Catechism Cataclysm and The Oregonian will feature in “Park City at Midnight,” which is home to horror films and extreme comedies. “The Sundance Film Festival is uniquely a festival of discovery and we are once again privileged to showcase the work of talented new artists,” says Director of Programming, Trevor Groth. “All of this speaks to the vibrancy of independent film.” Sundance 2011 will run January 20-30. For more information about these featured films and the festival lineup, be sure to follow the link. Congrats again!
