Our fine city has been chosen as one of nine locales for the Sundance Film Festival USA, an audience-oriented showcase that will run in conjunction with the famed fest’s annual Park City event. For those who can’t make the snowy trek down to Utah, nine films from the 2011 Sundance lineup –including Seattle-made feature The Details–will be screened simultaneously across the nation, in addition to their regularly-scheduled festival slots. What’s more: The screenings will also feature Q & A sessions with the filmmakers. Cedar Rapids, a comedy about a small-town group of insurance salesmen, will be featured in the Seattle leg of the tour, which takes place January 27, 2011, at Capitol Hill’s Egyptian Theatre. Other participating cities include Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville and San Francisco as well as Ann Arbor, Michigan, Brookline, Massachusetts, and Madison, Wisconsin.
