Cameron Crowe is a revered name is both the film and music community. Before he was writing and directing blockbuster films he was writing about music for Rolling Stone. His love and understanding of incredible music is illustrated by the scoring and soundtracks of his movies. Crowe recently directed the music video for Pearl Jam’s “The Fixer” and has been somewhat covertly working on a Pearl Jam documentary since 2009. The documentary will integrate archive footage from the bands 20 year history and will be a conglomeration of live performances, interviews and candid behind the scenes peeks. The film’s debut falls on the Seattle super band’s 20th anniversary and will be accompanied by sound track and book chronicling PJ’s legacy.
