The University of Washington Book Store welcomes Michael Cassutt , author, screenwriter, former network exec and Professor of Cinematic Arts at USC, for a free reading and book signing event tonight, January 21, at 7:00 pm—and you’re invited! Having served on the staff of over a dozen series—including The Twilight Zone and Eerie, Indiana—Cassutt will offer insight into the art and craft of TV writing and sign copies of his novels and short stories. But wait, there’s more: NW Media Arts and The Hugo House are also hosting an all-day writer’s introductory workshop with Cassutt this Sunday, January 23, where the screenwriter will cover topics ranging from basic script formatting to creating season-long story arcs. There are still some slots open, but get on it quick: check out the above link or call the Hugo House at (206) 322-7030 to register. Financial aid is available for qualified applicants.
