Even after SIFF and Sundance, Winter’s Bone continues to receive critical acclaim from all ends of the film spectrum—and now it’s up for best picture at the 2011 Academy Awards! The film, which has already won a Golden Space Needle from SIFF and a Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, was also nominated for best Adapted Screenplay for a script co-written by local film guru Anne Rosellini. Debra Granik directed and also helped write the screenplay. Winter’s Bone has another noteworthy Sea-Town connection to speak of: The film features some amazing folk music, much of it locally grown and mixed at Jack Straw Productions. Best of luck to Anne, Debra and all the cast and crew of Winter’s Bone. Jump on the link above for more details on the film and Anne Rosellini’s career.
