Fleet Foxes
If you also made the unforgivable error of not tuning in to KEXP this morning to hear the new Fleet Foxes single, the always dependable interweb has got our back. Links and streams of the new title track “Helplessness Blues” have spread like wildfire all over the net and have started a flurry of hype for one of the most beloved Seattle bands to date. Sub Pop will release the band’s sophomore album on May 3 and that same night you can see the boys grace the stage of the most fitting venue in town for such rich folk brilliance, the Moore Theater. The list of their upcoming tour dates is expansive in space and compressed in time, hitting a myriad of major US and European cities in a single month. Hopefully the Foxes have had time to hibernate this winter and will be ready for the rigors of the road. If you haven’t heard the song yet, or if you just can’t get enough, utilize the link above to transport to the band’s site and check out the funky album art as well.
