The A.V. Club
The Onion’s A.V. Club has posted a glimmering review of Seattle band Telekinesis’ new album 12 Desperate Straight Lines. Michael Benjamin Lerner went from sole proprietor of the band to expanding the project to include three additional musicians on the latest record. This increase in instrumentation has the band’s sound a more rounded and catchy feel, while Lerner’s emotion-saturated lyricism remains consistently gripping. Try a taste of Telekinesis’ live performance tonight at Jinx Artspace in Bellingham or check them out from the comfort of home on ArtZone with Nancy Guppy 8:00 pm on Seattle Channel 21. The episode will also be streaming and podcasting online. Click the link above to read the full review and sample some choice cuts of Telekinesis’ new album.
