EMP Soundoff!
Saturday night the EMP Skychurch was alive and hopping with local young talent and an energetic crowd, hyped up for the 2011 Soundoff! battle of the bands final round. After three weeks of musical combat the battle had been waned down to four underage bands whose musical prowess greatly overshadowed their young faces and novice driving abilities. Seattle baroque pop band Tomten took home the grand prize after a solid competition that rocked its way past the curfews of band members and attendees alike. Simply making it the final round was a major feat and all the bands put on a superb show, while looking amazing against the massive Skychurch visualizer screen. Congratulations to Northern Departure and their bluegrass brilliance, faux-hawked Fit For Hounds and the British Columbia representatives The Oh Wells on their awesome performances. Be sure to keep an eye out for Soundoff! victors Tomten and catch them at their newly won Bumbershoot performance this summer. Check out the link above for all the battle of the bands results and to see who got all the spoils.
