The American Fisheries Society (AFS) is in need of two to three Seattle bands and/or musicians to perform live at the 141st annual AFS Conference hosted by EMP. Nearly 4,000 environmental scientists, researchers, government officials, tribal agents, educators, private business owners, and more will be in attendance at the September 7 event, which has an marine theme in support of AFS and the Oceans Coalition (founded by Pearl Jam). Conference organizers are looking for great Seattle music in support of the seas; they also plan to stream the event in real-time on the AFS website so that members who are unable to travel to Seattle can still join in on all the festivities. Interested musicians should send contact information as well as a link to some of their work to cmercado@HTIsonar.com by April 5. To learn more about the conference or AFS Seattle, visit the link.
