X Factor
Simon Cowell is making Seattle one of the first stops in his journey to find America’s next great music star! The X Factor, Cowell’s highly-anticipated new reality project wherein vocalists compete for a chance at a $5 million Sony recording contract, is holding auditions in the Emerald city April 19-20. The show, which premieres this fall on FOX, has a format unique to the “talent search” TV archetype-that is, anyone over the age of 12 can try out for the show–soloists and vocal groups alike. Contestants should dress to impress and come prepared to sing three verses of three different songs with no backing music. For detailed information on the audition process and registration rules, including an audition tool kit and guide, visit the show’s online portal, “X Factor Xtra.”
