The Washington State Senate today passed the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program (SB5539) 40-8. The bill will now be referred to the House of Representatives for consideration. The bill’s progress is encouraging, but Washington Filmworks urges you to contact your Representatives in support of SB 5539. They’ve also collected a tremendous amount of economic data that supports the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program, and now they’re looking for your personal stories. How has the program impacted your livelihood? Email your testimonials to them at info@washingtonfilmworks.org.  Please include “testimonial” in the subject line, and visit Washington Filmworks’ Blog for more details on the bill’s progress.
