Renowned radio personality Marco Collins, who deejayed at 107.7 The End during the grunge explosion of the early nineties, will represent Seattle in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s updated interactive radio exhibit next year. During his time at The End circa 1991-1998, Collins became for many in our region the “voice of Alternative Rock” and was known for having an ear for hits and for bringing Seattle sound to the masses. “He was definitely a visionary in embracing local music,” says Susie Tennant, Geffen’s Northwest Rep in the ‘90s. “”He lived the music. He lived and breathed it. That was his culture.” Collins, who resides in Seattle and subs regularly at KEXP, joins legendary KJR jock Pat O’Day as our city’s two representatives in the exhibit.
