Hard Rock Cafe Seattle is looking for local talent to play one of Seattle’s newest live venue. The 400-person-capacity venue on the second level of the new Cafe is outfitted with video screens and a top-of-the-line concert sound and lighting system. Hard Rock’s tradition of showcasing iconic and emerging talent will continue on Seattle’s newest stage. Bands and solo acts are encouraged to submit materials for any of the three following opportunities: Nightly Live Music – the venue will host live music three to four nights per week with local, regional and national touring artists in the space; Monthly Residency Program – in which artists will play shows at Hard Rock every Tuesday for a month; and All Ages Sunday Matinee Shows – Parents will be able to bring their families and young adults under 21 can enjoy music. WEST SEATTLE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA INVITES LOCAL MUSICIANS TO JOIN

West Seattle has its own community orchestra – and starting this Tuesday, it’s welcoming interested local musicians to join in for a new season. Westside Symphonette announces two new conductors, a new orchestra and three new string coaches. The new orchestra is for youth and adult beginning string players, which has been made possible by a grant from the Wallace Foundation. The 2009-2010 season begins September 15, meeting at Chief Sealth High School in the Boren Building.
