The Stranger
College is the time to drink too much beer, pull all-nighters, write papers about Existentialism and become obsessed with one of your school’s band of heartthrobs. Luckily for all of us who’ve completed those golden years, we can still reap the benefits of local college music acts. Seattle has a particularly burgeoning electronica (“dormwave”) scene, and fans can access their tunes via downloads, file sharing and all the networks in place within college campuses. The Stranger highlights five local acts to keep your eyes and ears on: Beat Connection (University of Washington), Kid Presentable (University of Washington), Chocolate Chuck (University of Washington), Cedaa (Western Washington University) and Leftist Nautical Antiques (Whitworth University). Read the full article above, and be sure to check out some of these fabulous acts.
