KEXP 90.3FM and the Seattle Center have teamed up to present Concerts at the Mural, a series of eclectic concerts on some of the summer’s sultriest weekends. Take advantage of the warm summer nights and take in the tunes from some of KEXP’s favorite artists. The four free admission all-ages shows are tailored to the culturally curious who seek to discover the best of the area’s independent music scene. Concerts at the Mural are a Seattle music tradition, with local artists from across all genres performing at this year’s series, including Fresh Espresso (8/24), Absolute Monarchs (8/17), Brad (8/10), Fly Moon Royalty (8/3), and many, many more. Come early to get your seats, enjoy the beer/wine garden and visit our sponsor booths.
NPR’s World Café got a taste of Seattle this morning when it featured a few of our city’s favorite rockers. Comprised of legendary local musicians, Brad was formed back in 1992 and is still rockin’ it today. Members include Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, Shawn Smith and Regan Hagar of Pigeonhed and Jeremy Toback. Although they have plenty on their musical plate, the boys of Brad are committed to this collaboration, and their new tracks are a testament to this.
