The 2011 Seattle International Film Festival 2011 has an immediate opening for a Venue Manager. Responsibilities for this position include: Overseeing line management and crowd control; supervising front-of-house volunteer staff, interface with year-round theater staff and projectionist to coordinate show logistics; managing individual venue box office and merchandise sales; daily tracking and reporting of venues and generally ensuring a positive screening experience for patrons and guests. Cornish College of the Arts has an opening for a Facility Manager to oversee PONCHO Concert Hall. Responsibilities for this position include coordinating event scheduling and facilitating communication with the school’s Music, Dance, Theater and Performance Production Departments and providing operational and technical support for PONCHO Hall. The Facility Manager will also be tasked with training and supervising users of the facility, and with maintaining sound, lighting and stage equipment. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree plus three years experience in similar facilities management position, and a strong background in music, theater and/or production. The Endolyne Children’s Choir, a non-audition community choir serving greater West Seattle, is looking to hire a part-time director for their winter session. Founded in 2003, the 50-member choir’s stated vision is to teach “the joy of singing in a community setting that fosters self confidence, teamwork and a lifelong appreciation for music.” Applicants must have a degree in music performance and/or music education (or commensurate professional experience) and a passion for working with young people ages K-5th grade. SIFF IS HIRING A PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

SIFF is seeking a Programming Coordinator to manage the day-to-day administrative tasks in the Programming department. SIFF is a year-round non-profit film arts organization with programs including the Seattle International Film Festival, SIFF Cinema, and FutureWave. SIFF is breaking ground on a new permanent home and film center with an additional cinema, classroom and library/archive space this fall. The film center will begin operation in mid-2011. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organized, able to multi-task, proficient in basic office and communications software, and have an interest in independent and international film. The candidate will ideally have strong writing skills, be comfortable with public speaking, and must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. This position also recruits, hires, and manages seasonal publicity and promotions staff in order to successfully implement the department goals. Philharmonia Northwest, a Seattle-based chamber orchestra, is currently seeking a conductor/music director. The orchestra will select finalists to conduct the rehearsals and concerts for each performance set during the 2010-2011 season. The regular concert season generally consists of 5 or 6 concerts per year. Concerts are typically on Sunday afternoons, with rehearsals on Tuesday nights and dress rehearsals on Saturday mornings.
