Northwest Film Forum
Northwest Film Forum seeks an outgoing, responsible and detail-oriented Volunteer Coordination Intern. This position will act as the liaison between the volunteer corps and staff of the organization and will work with the administrative and events staff to fill volunteer positions (including admin support, box office/concessionaires, projectionists, other interns, street team and special events). Interns will help design an effective structure for hiring new volunteers and managing existing ones. Volunteer coordination is an essential skill for anyone interested in nonprofit management. This position is hands-on and will provide many opportunities for leadership. Candidates should be able to work independently, be personable and enjoy meeting new people, be comfortable and organized answering email and be an excellent communicator. This unpaid internship requires 10-20 hours a week, and the deadline to apply is November 1.

Illumni Men’s Chorale
The Illumni Men’s Chorale, one of the Northwest’s newest choral organizations, is holding auditions for their 2010-2011 Season. Hot off a series of debut concerts, the Chorale is now focusing their energies into developing a stellar season for this upcoming fall/winter session. On top of this, the group also plans to embark upon its first-ever recording project. All voice parts are encouraged to audition– Bass through Counter Tenor–but Solo level Baritones are especially needed. Female soloists are also free to audition for Guest Soloist positions. Artist Trust
The non-profit Grand Cinema is once again turning to the artistic community to design this year’s Tacoma Film Festival poster. All entries will be displayed at the Grand Cinema and a winner will be chosen for this year’s festival. The winning poster design receives a stipend, passes to the festival, and a membership to the Grand Cinema. Humanities Washington is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on its statewide speakers bureau, Inquiring Mind. Of particular interest for the 2010-2011 season are dynamic individuals whose presentations explore the stories, ideas and questions of importance to the people of Washington State. Presentations should offer information that encourages dialogue, and gives audience members an opportunity to learn from past events, better understand the present, or inform the future. Past speakers have included scholars, artists, authors, musicians, and historians. Topics for the 2010-2011 season will be loosely organized in the areas of local/state/national history; the environment; cultures of the region and world (including popular culture); diversity; and healthy communities. Speakers receive an honorarium of $300/presentation and will be reimbursed for travel costs. Deadline to apply is April 19. For more information follow the above link.

Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs
Applications are now available for Project Support grants intended to support small arts organizations and community service groups through matching grants for specific arts events targeted to a public audience in two rounds every year. On average, more than 70 organizations receive project support funds. This funding supports a diverse array of performances, workshops, and participation opportunities from Anacortes to Wenatchee. Round One: Deadline is May 3, 2010, for projects taking place between July 1, 2010, and December 31, 2010. Round Two: Deadline is October 4, 2010, for projects taking place between January 1, 2011, and June 30, 2011. For more information, follow the above link.
