Sea-Tac Launch Party Takes Over Link Light Rail Trains Tomorrow

EXPERIENCE THE CITY OF MUSIC
Tomorrow, live music with emanate from Sound Transit’s Link Light Rail trains all afternoon. Riders will hear performances between 1 and 6pm to celebrate the launch of the Sea-Tac Airport Music Initiative Experience the City of Music.
Artists performing tomorrow on Link light rail include:
– The Requisite
– Kristin Gaerlen
– Chad Knight
– Quixote Radio
– Whitney Ballen
– Josh Baez
– Justus Yearous
– This is Your Captain Speaking
– Gabriel Mintz
– Kris Orlowski

The party continues at the airport, and from 3 to 7pm, airport-goers will experience to new, hip, musically savvy airport. Everything from blues to electro-soul to Americana will fill Sea-Tac, and there will be performances by The Dusty 45’s, Fly Moon Royalty, Carrie Clark & the Lonesome Lovers, Recess Monkey.

On Sunday, June 13 Town Hall will host a special edition of their popular Saturday Family Concerts series. The lineup features Seattle folk/rock musician Johnny Bregar; Caspar Babypants (aka Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States); the band of rockin’ elementary-schoolteachers, Recess Monkey; and the Not-Its!, a five-piece Seattle band with indie-rock roots. This might be “kids’ music,” but it’s kids’ music for everybody. Rain or Shine, the event starts at noon at Freeway Park on the corner of 7th and Seneca.

The Seattle Weekly’s fifth annual all-local music festival takes place Saturday, October 3 in Ballard again this year, and while they can’t reveal all the line-up details now — everything will be finalized after Bumbershoot– the already announced line-up includes THEE Satisfaction, Fatal Lucciauno, GMK, Fresh Espresso, The Maldives, Recess Monkey, Grynch, the Tea Cozies and more.
