CAPITOL HILL BLOCK PARTY ANNOUNCES PARTIAL LINEUP

Capitol Hill Block Party
This morning, the powers-that-be over at the Capitol Hill Block Party (CHBP) released a partial lineup of bands playing this year’s hotly anticipated festival. Among the headliners, local folk rockers The Cave Singers will appear on the mainstage alongside nationally recognized acts like TV on the Radio, Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth) and Explosions in the Sky. The rest of the lineup is stacked sky high with local favorites, ranging from the indie punk sounds of Telekinesis to the playful rhymes of THEESatisfaction to the pop sounds of local stalwarts The Posies. Kudos to the organizers for giving quality local talent a weekend to strut their stuff in front of thousands of concertgoers. CHBP takes place July 22-24 along East Pike Street between Broadway and 12th Ave, with an additional stage set up on 11th Ave between Pike and East Union Street. Check out the link above to view the lineup announced so far. The full list of performers will be released on June 1.
