107.7 The End
The lineup for Sasquatch has just been announced, and on it are a few extremely local and incredibly cool bands and artists. Seattle is again proving itself as a powerful music capital, landing artists on the lineup next to big acts such as Jack White and Tenacious D. Notably, the list includes names such as The Head and The Heart, Shabazz Palaces, Allen Stone, Pickwick, Hey Marseilles, Fresh Espresso, The Physics, Sol, Grynch, and Fly Moon Royalty. NPR 
NPR music experts recently published their top five “Must-Hear” artists of 2011. Local Seattle band Pickwick made the list. NPR says that the band’s “insidious, slinky jams worm their way into your brain and plant their unshakeable melodies and groove.” Other honorable mentions include popular local groups like Fleet Foxes and Shabazz Palaces, among the likes of international sensations such as Bon Iver, Wilco and Raphael Saadiq.

Sound on the Sound
Scope out the first release from a new Sound on the Sound video series, featuring local songsters Pickwick in an intimate “basement” set. The series hopes to capture local bands in their favorite practice spaces/rehearsal spots so as to glean some up-close-and-personal insight into how their sound is crafted.
